HI! My NAME is WHAT, My NAME is WHO?!

It ain’t what they call you, it’s what you answer to. ~W.C. Fields
So with my trucker, to know him is to love him….or have strong feelings in the opposite direction depending on your encounter! However, even those who initially lean toward the “not so much love” eventually come around to the other side! With a heavy Baltimore drawl and a life’s too easy to rush demeanor, to spend any time with him or around him is a guaranteed good time.  I call him “A Pimp in his own Mind!” while my sister prefers….Well we’re not going to get into that here, just know he goes by a lot of different names!   He can be called Husband, Father and Son to name a few good ones! Just to give you an idea of what my life with my trucker is like, take a look at the trucker names he has given himself over the last 8 months, which he thought was even funnier to text to my sister and I in the middle of the work day!
Big DADDY dip low….80 TONS on Tip Toes….Mr. Pay Me don’t Delay Me….Mr. State to State for that cake..we almost there shawty….Big Baller, Heavy Hauler….Duke of the Downshift….Mr. Steak & Shake from State to State….Mr. Freddy FREEWAY….Mr. Shore to Shore, From hell to Heaven to Baltimore; From Texarkana to Alabama, hauling everything from bananas to pajamas. I am ah Lean Mean Heavy Hauling Machine. I turn hot pockets into ice cold green.  I haul everything from cow ass to afro sheen.
Yes, my dear readers he said afro sheen! The list goes on and on with each mile that he drives but no matter what you call him, please keep him in your prayers over the holiday season, along with the other 3.5 million professional truck drivers out on the road.  Without them, the shelves would not be stocked with the many great gifts that we are out hustling and bustling to purchase during this time or even more importantly, the things that we use in our everyday lives.
So let’s hear it, one pull of the BIG HORN string (HONK! HONK!), one salute to all the big rig driving, heavy hauling truckers around the world!

And the Journey Begins……

The first step towards getting somewhere is to decide that you are not going to stay where you are.

And just like that is was done! Let me start by introducing myself.  My name is Jeameeka but for personal effects you can call me Jeek. I’m the wife of a newly licensed CDL OTR truck driver and let me just say I can’t seem to get the line “on the road again” out of my mind! Welcome to my blog.  Here you will find posts about my life as a trucker’s wife.  Some will be funny, some will be sweet, some will be recipes to help put you to sleep! My posts will be mostly for entertainment purposes for any age, any lifestyle but it is my hope that other trucker wives will gain useful information that definitely helped me to transition and adjust.  Thanks for visiting and check back often….Enjoy!!
